I know that the word is that I am not the most touchy feely kind of person and that I tends towards being direct. Please do not equate that to a lack of compassion or empathy on my part. I care deeply about the feelings of others – in a very genuine way. Anyone who truly knows me, knows that. So while I will always take negative criticism to heart, (and believe me I do), I have to remind myself of the kind of attorney that I am. I am diligent, staying on top of deadlines and work and, doing my best to respond to clients and counsel in a timely manner. If I say I will have something done by a certain time, I generally have it done by that time. I know that I won’t always tell you what you want to hear, but I will give you direct, honest feedback, to hopefully keep your attorneys fees down and to help work towards a resolution. If I have to approach a case in an aggressive manner I will, but would much prefer to resolve a case in a way that saves everyone money and time. I do not over-bill or keep a case going to make more money. I am honest with clients, opposing counsel and the judiciary. I do my best to treat everyone with respect no matter their social class, gender, race, sexual orientation, etc. I do my best to not judge anyone. As my late mother said, “we are all imperfect people doing the best that we can”. I try every day to do the best that I can. Thank you for reading.
