Matthew E. Hurff, a partner with the firm since 2015, received his undergraduate degree from McDaniel College, and his law degree from the University of Baltimore. While at the University of Baltimore, Mr. Hurff participated in the Robert F. Wagner Labor and Employment Law Moot Court Competition and in the Family Law Clinic.

Elissa K. Halloran, an associate with the firm since 2011, received her undergraduate degree from Towson University in 2001 and her law degree from The University of Baltimore in 2005.  Prior to working with the firm, Ms. Halloran worked in Carroll County representing clients in family law matters and criminal matters, and in Anne Arundel County representing victims of domestic violence.

Shobita C. DuBois joined Love, Fleming & Bearsch, LLC in October, 2008, as Managing Attorney of the firm’s Business Group. Ms. DuBois focuses her practice on business transactions, intellectual property, commercial and residential real estate and estate planning.

Ms. DuBois is a member of a number of professional and civic organizations, including the Maryland Bar Association, Harford County Bar Association and the Baltimore Estate Planning Council.  Ms. DuBois served on the Board of Directors for The Arc Northern Chesapeake Region for several years, serving as Board Member and Vice Chair of The Arc Foundation Board, Chair of the Planned Giving Committee, and currently serves on the Gala Committee.  In furtherance of Ms. DuBois’ commitment to the community, she is a Board Member and Secretary of the Chesapeake Professional Women’s Network, a nonprofit dedicated to empower professional women and women business owners. Ms. DuBois also serves as a Special Advisor to Chesapeake Therapeutic Riding, a local nonprofit assisting individuals with disabilities through equine-based therapy. Ms. DuBois also dedicated her time as one of the founding Board Members of Making a Difference: Truancy Education, Inc., a local nonprofit dedicated to reducing the truancy rates in the State of Maryland. In addition to her professional and community based commitments, Ms. DuBois volunteers at both St. Margaret School and Loyola Blakefield, schools she holds in high esteem as innovative educators to the Harford County and Baltimore County communities.

Jeffrey N. Burger has been an associate with the firm since April 2012. After graduating from the University of Maryland, College Park and the University of Baltimore, School of Law, Jeff began his professional career as a law clerk for the Honorable John F. Fader, Chief Judge, in the Circuit Court for Baltimore County. Jeff’s primary practice includes representing the Harford County Department of Social Services and criminal defense.
